The "1S" series filters are available in 1, 2 or 3 cartridge models. The filters are used by the petroleum production industry in secondary recovery water floods. The filter is normally placed at each individual input well just ahead of the meter. The filters are ideal for many high pressure, low volume glycol applications. The "1S" series is also suited for other applications requiring low cost, durable, easily operated filters. The head mounts directly in the flow line. The filter may be mounted in any position. The body is connected to the head by a two bolt grooved coupling and sealed with a double lip gasket. Fluid enters one side of the head and is channeled to the area around the cartridges. The fluid or gas passes through the depth type cartridge into the center tube and out the side of the head. The direction of flow, from dirty inlet to clean outlet, is indicated by an arrow cast in the filter head. The "1S" series comes in three basic models for various flow rates. All models are available with epoxy lined bodies for added corrosion resistance. Each model is equipped with a 1/4" internal pipe thread drain in the bottom of the body.
The time-tested "A"
Series filters provide operators with highly efficient filtration, matched to their
specific operating requirements. Flow rates, operating pressures and temperatures, and the
fluid being filtered are all taken into consideration when selecting the right
"A" Series filter for the job.

![]() "1NT" Series The Nowata ProGuard Filtration "1NT" Series Quick Change Single Cartridge Filter Vessels are available in 1, 2, or 3 size cartridge models. The head mounts directly in the flow line. The filter may be mounted in any position. Fluid enters one side of the head, marked "IN", and is channeled to the area around the cartridges. The fluid or gas passes through the cartridges into the center and out the other side of the head, marked "OUT". The body is sealed to the head by a fixed rigid center rod and T-handle closure nut. As the T-handle is tightened, the body and cartridge are firmly sealed against the head and o-ring. The T-handle closure eliminates the need for wrenches or tools. When changing the cartridge, the pressure is released before the head is removed, by loosening the T-handle closure. Each model has, as standard, a 1/4" internal pipe thread drain in the bottom of the body.
The "1SY" , "1UY" and "1HY" Series filters are available with 1, 2 or 3 disposable cartridges mounted on a rigid cartridge support post with a threaded end seal. Standard cartridge size is 2-1/2" outside diameter x 1" inside diameter x either 9-3/4" or 10" length. On the 2 and 3 cartridge models the 9-3/4" or 10" length cartridges stack on the support post. A single cartridge 19-1/2" or 20" long can be utilized on the 2C model. Likewise, a single 29-1/4" or 30" length cartridge can be installed in the 3C models or 3 single lengths can be used. The filter head has in-line 1" internal pipe thread, FNPT, connections. The tubular body is flange mounted to the head. The body of the filter is connected to the head by four heat treated carbon steel bolts and sealed with an o-ring. Each model has a 1/4" internal pipe thread, FNPT, drain in the bottom of the body. The 3000 psi models have lifting handles located on the body for ease of removal. The head mounts directly in the flow line. The filter may be mounted in any position. Fluid enters one side of the head and is channeled to the area around the cartridges. The fluid or gas passes through the cartridge media where particles of contaminant are removed and trapped. The clean fluid or gas flows into the rigid cartridge support post and out the opposite side of the head from the inlet.
Unique features and quality construction make these long-lasting filters ideal for high flow rate applications requiring quick and easy cartridge replacement. The "B" Series' bolted closure offers a positive seal while utilizing a minimum number of bolts. During closure removal, the bolts remain attached to the vessel. As a result, cartridge replacement is much faster than replacement using vessels with flanged closures and a large number of removable bolts. Nowata's standard unique rigid cartridge support assures that each cartridge is sealed in place before the closure is reinstalled. Also offered are units with optional conventional cup and spring cartridge seals. "B" Series filters come in five sizes each with a different number of cartridges. The standard pressure rating is 150 psi with 100, 200, 300 and higher psi units available by special order. The units handle flow rates from 500 to 2500 gpm of water depending on the number and micron rating of the cartridges used. Many unique features are available on the "B" Series filters to meet your specific needs. From epoxy-lined carbon steel with stainless steel trim to all stainless steel, Nowata has the right unit to fit your corrosion requirements. All "B" Series models are available with an ASME Code stamp.
"P" Series Hih Flow Multi-Cartridge Vessel Designed for long life, the Nowata P Series multi-purpose, High Flow, 150 psi filter housings offer exceptional value. These filters accept a 6 inch outside diameter by 3.5 inch inside diameter cartridge and are ideally suited for use with the Nowata 644 PC Series Pleated Cellulose filter cartridge. Each housing is built with the same commitment to quality that has made Nowata Filtration a leader in filtration systems for nearly half a century. All P Series filter vessels are designed to the ASME code standards for added quality assurance. The ASME code stamp is an optional feature. The P Series Pleated Cartridge Filter Housings are designed for use in many industrial applications including: Fuels, Hydraulic Oils, Lube Oils, Seal Oils, Oil & Water Filtration, Petroleum Refining Applications, Pulp & Paper Industry, and Power Generation, to name a few. |
The Nowata Filtration "1L" Series filters are available in 1, 2, 3 and 4 cartridge models, with a single cartridge being 40" in length. The filters are ideal for many low pressure glycol and amine applications. The head mounts directly in the flow line. The filter may be mounted in any position. Fluid enters one side of the head, marked "IN", and is channeled to the area around the cartridges. The fluid or gas passes through the cartridges into the center and out the other side of the head, marked "OUT". The single piece body is sealed to the head by a fixed rigid center rod and T-handle closure nut. As the T-handle is tightened, the body and cartridge are firmly sealed against the head and gasket. The one piece body eliminates the dual gaskets required for competitive units. The T-handle, standard on the "1L" series, is an option on many other brands. Each model has, as standard, a plugged 1/8" internal pipe thread drain in the bottom of the body.
The "1U" series filter housings are available in 1, 2 and 3 cartridge models. The filters are ideal for many high pressure, low volume applications. The "1U" series is suited for other applications requiring low cost, durable, easily operated, corrosion resistant filters. The filters are specifically used by the petroleum production industry in secondary recovery water flood applications requiring the corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel. The filter is normally placed at each individual input well just ahead of the meter. The cast 316 stainless steel head mounts directly in the flow line. The "1U" series comes in three basic models for various flow rates. All models are available with corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel bodies or for less corrosive applications, epoxy lined carbon steel bodies. Each model is equipped with a 1/4" internal pipe thread drain in the bottom of the body. STANDARD CONSTRUCTION FOR
